The 2025 Guanxi Coffee Festival will take place on March 22 (Saturday) at the square next to Mawudu Coffee Shop in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County. The event invites coffee enthusiasts from across Taiwan to come together and enjoy a day filled with coffee, art, and culture.
This year’s festival blends coffee culture with artistic creation, offering a rich, immersive experience. Attendees can explore a specialty coffee market featuring a variety of coffee and hand-pour experiences. The event will also offer guided tours of the roasting process and professional coffee blending tastings.
A major highlight of the event will be performances by Atayal singer Botu Utaw and street artist Siyue, bringing vibrant energy to the festival atmosphere. Additionally, a special “Coffee Bean Painting” art exhibition will showcase artworks created with coffee beans and grounds, combining both visual and olfactory experiences for attendees.
A coffee cupping event held on March 5 was a standout feature of the festival. 16 local coffee farmers brought 26 high-quality green beans to compete, highlighting the diversity and excellence of the Guanxi Township coffee industry. The winners will be announced during the festival, and award-winning farmers will engage with the public, sharing their expertise in coffee planting and brewing.
The Guanxi Town Office has been actively promoting the coffee industry in recent years. With initiatives like the Mawudu Coffee Production Cooperative, the town is focused on brand management and agricultural development, aiming to establish Guanxi as a top coffee production area in northern Taiwan.
Everyone is invited to the 2025 Guanxi Coffee Festival on March 22 to savor delicious coffee and experience the unique coffee culture and artistic charm of Guanxi Township.
