Australian coffee franchise Muffin Break has made a strategic decision, appointing the creative agency Jnr as its Lead Creative Partner.
Established in 1989, Muffin Break is a part of the Sydney – based franchise group FoodCo. With a network of over 260 stores spanning Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, the coffee chain views this partnership with Jnr as the next significant step in its brand evolution. The goal is to enhance its attractiveness to younger consumers.
Jnr has carved a niche for itself in TV and out – of – home advertising, along with social media and PR communications. The collaboration with Muffin Break is already underway, and the first creative campaign is slated for a summer 2025 launch.
John Marshall, the Managing Director of Jnr, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “In the brief period we’ve collaborated with the Muffin Break team, we’ve been thoroughly impressed by their profound comprehension of the market, the consumer, and their lofty aspirations for the brand. We’re extremely thrilled about this partnership and are grateful to the team for the trust they’ve placed in us.”
Securing the Muffin Break account is one of Jnr’s major achievements since its inception in February 2024. The agency also counts the RotoruaNZ tourism board, foodtech start – up Ārepa, and outdoor education non – profit Outward Bound among its clients.
Back in August 2023, Sydney – based FoodCo had appointed Connecting Plots as its Creative Agency of Record. Connecting Plots will continue to develop content marketing and online advertising campaigns for FoodCo’s other café chain, Jamaica Blue. This shows FoodCo’s strategic approach to leveraging different creative agencies to drive growth and brand development across its various café offerings.
