Brownstones Coffee has a fresh new look and a bigger space in West Islip. The popular breakfast spot recently relocated just a short distance from its original location to accommodate growing customer demand.
On March 9, the restaurant closed its doors at 306 Union Blvd. and reopened the next day at 425A Union Blvd., next to 7-Eleven.
A spokesperson for Brownstones Coffee explained that the move was driven by the increasing popularity of the café. The new location, which spans approximately 4,300 square feet and features 140 seats, offers more parking, expanded seating, and counter seating options. This is a significant upgrade from the previous 2,400-square-foot space, which had 75 seats.
Brownstones Coffee first opened in West Islip around eight years ago as its second location. Its original café in Amityville has been serving loyal customers for over a decade.
In keeping with the brand’s theme of 1920s Brooklyn inspiration, the West Islip café features an art deco design.
Founded by father-and-son duo Emmanuel and Chris Kourounis, Brownstones Coffee is known for its signature breakfast and brunch dishes. The family-owned business has expanded across Long Island, with additional locations in East Northport, Centereach, and West Sayville.
