The Saudi Coffee Company (SCC) and the Halal Products Development Company (HPDC) have inked an agreement aimed at broadening coffee offerings within the halal market through certifications.
Hailing from Saudi Arabia, HPDC is an organization dedicated to developing, certifying, and promoting halal – certified products to adhere to global halal standards. In a public statement, SCC declared that this partnership will enable the two companies to delve into opportunities related to halal certification, knowledge sharing, and market expansion.
The agreement further details cross – party cooperation across various areas such as workshops and market awareness initiatives, data and market research, training and development programs, as well as halal certification and compliance.
Mohammed Zainy, the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at SCC, stated, “With the escalating global demand for halal – certified products, this partnership empowers us to tap into new markets and discover innovative means to satisfy the requirements of halal – conscious consumers. We are eager to expand our reach in tandem with HPDC and present high – quality, halal – certified Saudi coffee to a wider audience.”
Dr Sarah AlMugairin, Advisor to the CEO of the Halal Products Development Company, expressed that this collaboration will fortify the standing of Saudi coffee in global markets and elevate Saudi Arabia’s role as a central player in the global halal market. “Collectively, our goal is to foster the growth of halal industries around the world,” she added.
The partnership between SCC and HPDC is in line with the key objectives of Vision 2030. These include economic diversification, sustainability, and the expansion of halal – certified industries. Saudi Vision 2030 is a strategic plan to diversify Saudi Arabia’s economy away from its heavy reliance on oil by 2030, with a focus on sectors like tourism, technology, and renewable energy.
