Germany’s Kamps has elevated Katharina Keil to the position of Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she will be in charge of the company’s store modernization plan and the implementation of digital initiatives across its 360 outlets.
According to a press release from the Schwalmtal – based bakery – café chain, Keil will supervise the roll – out of a contemporary, customer – centric store design, digital ordering systems, and a new loyalty app. Additionally, she will be responsible for expanding the brand’s vegetarian and vegan product offerings.
Keil, who joined Kamps in 2011 and was most recently the Strategy Director, will also take on responsibilities for sales, marketing, and franchise relations. At present, 98% of Kamps’ outlets are run by franchisees.
Friederike Stöver, the CEO of Kamps, stated, “The appointment of Katharina Keil is a crucial move for Kamps. Her in – depth knowledge of the company and the market is unparalleled. With her wide – ranging expertise, she will play a significant role in the success of our growth strategy. Together, we will develop innovative concepts, accelerate digitalization, and enhance the customer experience.”
Kamps further explained that Keil’s promotion is part of a realignment of its senior management team. This adjustment will enable Stöver to focus more on driving production efficiencies and expanding the number of outlets.
Established in Düsseldorf in 1982, the majority of Kamps’ locations are situated in high – traffic transport hubs and shopping centers throughout the North Rhine – Westphalia region.
Kamps, which also operates two stores in the Netherlands, sources its Fairtrade coffee from the Associação dos Cafeicultores de Montanha de Divinolândia smallholder cooperative in São Paulo, Brazil. The coffee is then roasted in – house before being distributed to its stores.
