The Hyderabad – based café chain, Yummy Bee, has successfully secured Rs 18 crore (equivalent to $2 million). This funding will be used to expedite its outlet growth and support its expansion within India’s fast – moving consumer goods (FMCG) market.
Positioning itself as India’s first “guilt – free” café, Yummy Bee specializes in low – calorie and sugar – free desserts. Currently, it operates nine stores in Hyderabad. The chain has set its sights on reaching 20 outlets across India by the end of 2025, with plans to open its first stores in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
The newly acquired funds will also empower this health – focused enterprise to broaden its FMCG product range and extend its delivery footprint. At present, Yummy Bee partners with third – party delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy
Sandeep Jangala, the Founder & CEO of Yummy Bee, remarked, “This investment will enable us to connect with more health – conscious people across the nation. Our aim is to make guilt – free indulgence accessible in every major city. We are steadfast in our commitment to providing delicious, nutritious food without sacrificing taste.”
Established in 2022, Yummy Bee is aiming for annual recurring revenues of Rs 50 crore ($5.8 million) by March 2026.
In addition to an extensive selection of cakes and pastries, the café chain offers espresso – based beverages and a cold coffee line. This line includes offerings such as Sparkling Orange Americano, Mango Brew Coffee, and Vanilla Espresso Martini.
Yummy Bee’s investment round was spearheaded by an Indian venture capital firm. This firm has also provided backing to the organic dairy group Sid’s Farm and the smart food production company Make in the Box. Strategic investors, including Praveen Jaipuriar, the CEO of Continental Coffee Group, and Ajitha Challa, the Founder of Karafa Coffee, also took part in this funding round.
