US dairy behemoth Chobani has enlisted the services of communications agency Confidant. The agency is tasked with crafting and overseeing high – profile marketing campaigns for Chobani’s dairy alternative line and its La Colombe specialty coffee business.
As the Brand and Lifestyle Communications Agency of Record, New York – based Confidant will spearhead media relations for these two brands. Confidant describes them as “category disruptors” within their respective industries. The agency will focus specifically on consumer lifestyle, food, and trade media.
Confidant initiated the partnership in January 2025 with the Love Over Lattes campaign. This was aimed at promoting La Colombe’s limited – edition Draft Latte Strawberry Mocha range. The communications agency stated that its work will spotlight the specialty coffee group’s “expertise in craft coffee”.
Chobani acquired La Colombe Coffee Roasters for $900 million in December 2023. Although the Pennsylvania – based specialty coffee roaster and its 30 – store café chain continue to operate independently, the partnership allows La Colombe to leverage Chobani’s extensive distribution network. This network encompasses over 95,000 US retail locations, including major supermarket chains like Walmart, Whole Foods, Target, and Kroger.
In April 2024, La Colombe expanded its ready – to – drink (RTD) retail coffee range with new 11oz Draft Latte cans. This was the first product launch under Chobani’s stewardship. In a press release at that time, Chobani announced its plan to “rapidly accelerate” La Colombe’s share in the US RTD coffee market.
Founded in 2015, Confidant has developed media campaigns for several well – known US brands. These include e – commerce giant Amazon, beverage group Diageo, and fast – casual restaurant chain Shake Shack. Confidant is a part of the Nostos Network marketing and advertising group.
