Many coffee lovers enjoy their morning cup for the flavorful ritual, but some must limit or avoid caffeine for reasons like pregnancy, heart issues, blood pressure, or sleep irregularity.
However, a recent coffee recall has left some consumers wondering if they’ve been consuming more caffeine than intended. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced the recall of 4,152 bags of coffee due to a mislabeling error.
The recall, initiated on March 13, affects 692 six-count cases of Our Family Traverse City Ground Coffee. According to the FDA, a portion of this coffee was incorrectly labeled as decaffeinated, even though it contained caffeine.
The affected product, Our Family Coffee Roasters Traverse City Cherry Decaf Light Roast Ground Coffee, was distributed to retail centers and states across the U.S., including Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and more.
