Qamaria Coffee, a brand focused on sharing Yemeni coffee culture, has recently opened a new location in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The café offers a welcoming space for community members to enjoy coffee, tea, and pastries, with extended hours that cater to late-night customers. During Ramadan, the shop’s hours are even further extended, allowing the community to come together to break fast and enjoy a cup of traditional Yemeni coffee.
The inspiration behind Qamaria Coffee’s expansion to Minnesota comes from Mohamed Hagi, managing partner and co-owner, who was captivated by Yemeni coffee culture after visiting a Yemeni coffee shop in New York in 2021. Along with his cousin and business partner, Ibrahim Haji-Said, they explored various brand partnerships before settling on Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co. They visited the company’s headquarters in Michigan and decided to bring the rich coffee culture to Minnesota.
Qamaria’s first location opened in Little Canada last year, and the brand has since expanded to include shops in Blaine, Eden Prairie, and Rochester, quickly establishing itself as a beloved local brand.
