City Boy Coffee is making a name for itself in the decaffeinated coffee market with its new ‘Ultimate Decaf’ series. This collection features two carefully crafted single-origin options, developed through extensive community feedback and inspired by James Hoffman’s Decaf Project. The company conducted consumer surveys and tasting panels to better understand the preferences of decaf drinkers.
The Mexico variant is processed using the ethyl acetate (sugar cane) method, which helps retain a smooth, nutty flavor with hints of butter and maple syrup. Meanwhile, the Ethiopian version undergoes Swiss Water processing, preserving its bright, fruity notes of star fruit and plum syrup.
With the launch of ‘Ultimate Decaf’, City Boy Coffee is setting a new standard for caffeine-free options. The company applies the same high-quality sourcing and roasting techniques typically reserved for premium caffeinated coffees, addressing a long-standing gap in the industry.
