A former fitness center near Tiger Stadium has been transformed into Pura Vida Coffee Bar, a tropical-themed café featuring 20-foot palm trees and Mid-Century Modern decor.
Located at 4005 Nicholson Dr., the two-story space offers a mix of seating options. The first floor features a long bar and a cozy seating area, while the second floor includes lounge seating, a group study area for students, and multiple charging stations for electronic devices.

Set to open in April, Pura Vida will serve a variety of coffee and matcha drinks, along with fresh pastries and savory breakfast options. The owners are also pursuing a liquor license and plan to extend bar hours once it is approved.
