Automated coffee machine manufacturer Schaerer took the spotlight at the hospitality trade fair Internorga in Hamburg, Germany, from March 18 – 20. At the 2025 event, the company demonstrated how small details can have a big impact.
Schaerer introduced the Schaerer Coffee Skye, which will soon offer the optional Best Foam milk system. Additionally, it presented a new wheelchair – accessible user interface for the Schaerer Coffee Soul machine and its Smartwatch Integration Solution. This solution provides IoT connectivity, aiming to streamline workflow, reduce staff burden, and boost guest satisfaction.
Hansjürg Marti, Managing Director of Schaerer Deutschland GmbH, remarked, “Often, it’s the minor elements that make a substantial difference. Those who visited our stand at Internorga witnessed this directly. We displayed three new, retrofittable features. These are designed to enhance beverage quality and variety, enable fully accessible self – service, and significantly lighten the staff’s workload by optimizing service processes.”
Come the second half of 2025, the Best Foam system will be available for the Schaerer Coffee Skye. This system is engineered to offer precise control over milk temperature and foam consistency. When combined with the Twin Milk system, Best Foam is said to facilitate an even wider array of coffee creations, whether using dairy milk or plant – based alternatives.
The “Barrier – Free Enjoyment” control concept for the Coffee Soul was specially crafted for wheelchair users. Scheduled for release in the second half of 2025, it features easily accessible buttons on the drip tray for beverage selection and customization.
Developed in partnership with Turnpike, the Smartwatch Integration Solution links Schaerer coffee machines to Turnpike’s cloud services through custom software. With this smartwatch system, staff receive real – time alerts, enabling them to anticipate and address service requirements like refilling coffee beans or milk before problems occur.
