Kay Cheon of Dune Coffee Roasters has earned the title of 2025 United States Barista Champion, solidifying his reputation as a standout figure in the coffee industry.
The national competition, held in Raleigh, North Carolina, marked Cheon’s sixth time competing. His impressive performance in the championship’s three-course challenge—where he skillfully combined different coffees and ingredients—secured him the prestigious Reg Barber Trophy.
