At Milan Design Week 2025, Italian coffee giant Lavazza has introduced Tablì, a groundbreaking new coffee system described as the “100% coffee experience.” This innovation marks a significant leap forward for both the company and the entire coffee industry. Tablì features a coffee machine system that uses 100% coffee tabs, eliminating the need for traditional capsules.
Lavazza touts Tablì as a sensory journey, capturing the perfect combination of research and design to unlock the rich aroma, color, and unmistakable flavor of coffee in a completely new way. “Tablì is the first 100% coffee tab, created through a blend of cutting-edge research and design, offering a total sensory experience,” the company said.
Carlo Colpo, Lavazza Group’s Marketing Communication and Brand Home Director, highlighted the system’s significance. “Constant challenges and the quest for innovation have always driven us to improve our products and stand out in a competitive market. Tablì is the culmination of five years of work and over 15 patents, marking a pivotal step in the future of single-serve coffee.”
To debut Tablì, Lavazza teamed up with Brazilian architect and designer Juliana Lima Vasconcellos for a special installation called Source of Pleasure, which is open to the public from April 6 to 13 at Palazzo del Senato, the home of the Milan State Archives. The site-specific exhibit showcases the company’s vision for the future of coffee, blending technology, design, and sensory delight.
