The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) has announced that starting in 2026, the Specialty Coffee Expo will be rebranded as World of Coffee.
The event will continue as the Specialty Coffee Expo in Houston, Texas, from April 25 to 27, 2025. However, in 2026, it will be held in San Diego, California, under the new name, World of Coffee, from April 10 to 12.
Yannis Apostolopoulos, CEO of the SCA, explained the change: “Renaming Expo to World of Coffee brings North America’s premier coffee trade show into the globally recognized World of Coffee brand, reinforcing our commitment to international growth, collaboration, and innovation in the coffee industry.”
The decision to rename the event was made to emphasize unity within the global coffee community. Apostolopoulos continued, “In times of division, showing unity is more important than ever. Our goal is to bring together coffee professionals and stakeholders worldwide. World of Coffee will continue the Expo’s 30-year legacy, connecting industry leaders, exhibitors, and enthusiasts while exploring emerging trends, new technologies, and business opportunities.”
Visitors and exhibitors attending World of Coffee San Diego can expect the same dynamic experience that the Expo is known for, with a wide range of exhibitors, workshops, technology showcases, and competitions.
