The “COFFEE HK x Tokyo Coffee Festival,” held over the Easter holiday at the West Kowloon Cultural District, has proven to be a major success, drawing over 33,000 coffee enthusiasts in its first three days. However, the event’s opening day was marred by long queues and disorganized arrangements, prompting criticism from attendees.
In response to the overwhelming crowds, the organizers quickly adjusted their operations. From the second day of the festival (April 19), on-site ticket sales were halted, and all tickets were sold online. Additionally, extra staff were deployed at the venue entrance to manage the flow of attendees and assist with entry, resulting in smoother operations and shorter wait times.
Today (April 20) marks the third day of the event, and the “Day Pass” tickets sold online were sold out before the event even began. The organizer now advises visitors planning to attend on the final day (April 21) to arrive early in the morning or near dusk when the crowds are smaller.
The festival continues to draw large numbers, with attendees flocking to experience a variety of coffee offerings and related activities in the heart of Hong Kong’s cultural district.
