To celebrate Earth Day on April 22 and its annual Global Service Month in April, Starbucks China launched its first-ever “Green+” initiative. The program highlights the company’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
As part of the initiative, Starbucks partnered with public interest groups and local communities to host events that encouraged eco-friendly practices. These included “Green Coffee” classes led by partners with hearing impairments, as well as demonstrations of environmental values through traditional Chinese handicrafts.
On Earth Day, Starbucks China invited customers to take part in an eco-conscious promotion. Those who brought a reusable cup received a free medium Americano. Additionally, the first 30 participants at each store had the option to upgrade to a drink from the “True Flavor: Sugar-Free” Berry Americano series. This new line showcases flavorful drinks made without added sugar, promoting a healthier and zero-calorie lifestyle.
