Indonesian coffee chain Tomoro Coffee has inaugurated its first roastery in Jakarta, boasting an annual production capacity of 2,400 tons.
Established in 2022, Tomoro Coffee has swiftly grown to over 500 locations spanning Indonesia, China, Singapore, and the Philippines.
According to a company press release, the new roastery will ensure a steady supply of fresh coffee to its outlets every 10 days. This development is a cornerstone of Tomoro Coffee’s ambitious expansion strategy, which aims to double its presence to 1,000 stores across Southeast Asia within the next year.
Supported by ATM Capital, the company has previously identified Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand as key markets for future growth.
“This roastery exemplifies Tomoro Coffee’s dedication to fostering a sustainable coffee industry in Indonesia, by establishing an integrated ecosystem from production to delivery. With three production phases and premium quality coffee beans, our roastery is set to produce 2,400 tons annually,” stated Star Yuan, Director of Tomoro Coffee.
Tomoro Coffee’s swift expansion has positioned it as the fifth largest coffee chain in Indonesia, surpassing competitors like Fore Coffee, Excelso, and Flash Coffee. It now stands behind leading domestic brands Janji Jiwa, Kopi Kenangan, and Lain Hati, as well as global giant Starbucks.
With aspirations to dominate the Indonesian market, Tomoro Coffee has set its sights on becoming the nation’s leading coffee chain by 2025.
