In a bid to foster community engagement, Honey’s Coffee Co., set to launch The Hive Coffee & Bakehouse in Downtown Glasgow, unveiled a new coffee-centric initiative on Sunday. Partnering with Flours Bake Shop, the company introduced the “Community Coffee Connection,” aimed at bolstering local outreach efforts.
Savannah White, co-owner of Honey’s Coffee Co. and proprietor of Studio 22 Marketing, expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “We always knew we wanted Honey (our coffee camper) to be a community partner. It was such a joy to contribute to the Community Relief Fund last winter, and inevitable that these types of events would become a regular initiative for us.” White further added, “While we are excited to open our brick-and-mortar location by the end of the year, we plan to keep Honey on the road as a means for community outreach.”
Honey’s Coffee operates as a mobile coffee shop, serving ethically and sustainably sourced coffee from a vintage camper in South Central Kentucky.
The inaugural Community Coffee Connection event is scheduled for Friday, June 14th, at Marshall’s parking lot in Glasgow, running from 7 AM to 1 PM. Notably, 100% of profits generated during the event will be donated to the Community Relief Fund.
Collaborating with local coffee establishments in Glasgow and Barren County, Honey’s Coffee Co. has garnered support from Southern Cup Coffee & Cafe, Fine Arts Bistro, Scooters Coffee, and Ace Coffee Co. Baristas from each participating shop will join forces at Honey’s on June 14th.
Reflecting on the collaborative effort, Danielle Certain, owner of Wild Flours Bake Shop and co-owner of The Hive Coffee & Bakehouse, remarked, “I think it’s incredibly special to see all of us coming together- all coffee shops, essentially doing the same if not similar things for a living to support our community.”
