Carthage, Missouri now boasts a fresh option for those seeking a caffeinated start to their day, thanks to the recent debut of Ziggi’s Coffee, located on the south side of town. Co-owner Adam Bridges, an insurance agent frequently on the move, recognized the need for a convenient drive-thru coffee establishment in the area.
Pooling resources with his wife Shelly and two other investors, Bridges embarked on the venture to fulfill this demand. Opting to align with an established franchise, Ziggi’s Coffee, originating from Colorado, marks the third Missouri location for the company.
According to IBIS World, a global research firm, the coffee and snack shops industry in the U.S. has experienced consistent growth, averaging close to 5 percent annually between 2018 and 2023. One contributing factor to this expansion is the diversification of menu offerings.
“We have a great selection of energy drinks, blended and iced, along with chai teas, iced teas, lemonade, fruit smoothies, and an extensive array of drinks,” Bridges remarked, emphasizing the appeal of their menu.
To differentiate themselves in a market with neighboring coffee shops, Ziggi’s is introducing a line of sugar-free beverages and gluten-free food options, catering to varying dietary preferences.
“I wanted a little something new, you know, and Carthage doesn’t have a huge selection so we decided that Ziggi’s would be a cool place to come and try out food and drinks and stuff like that,” shared Shay Gaddis, a satisfied customer.
Beyond contending in a competitive industry, Ziggi’s also faced the challenge of recruiting staff. However, Bridges expressed delight in quickly filling twenty-five positions, noting that many applicants were enthusiastic patrons of their offerings.
