Copenhagen – Phil & Sebastian, a renowned coffee roaster based in Calgary, Canada, will host an exclusive coffee tasting event at Coffee Collective Carlsberg Byen on Wednesday, June 26th. This special event marks the launch of the “CC & Friends” roaster takeover series, coinciding with the upcoming World of Coffee in Copenhagen. The series will also feature takeovers by esteemed roasters such as Tim Wendelboe, Heart Coffee, Switch Coffee Tokyo, Monogram Coffee, and Barista Hustle.
The event will spotlight two legendary coffee producers, Ratibor Hartmann and Mauricio Shattah. Known for their award-winning coffees from Panama and Colombia, Hartmann and Shattah have collaborated with Phil & Sebastian since 2010. They will present two exceptional coffees: the Hartmann Reserve Washed Geisha and La Negrita’s Natural Red Geisha. Additionally, Phil & Sebastian will host a third tasting featuring five top Costa Rican coffee producers: Kevin Naranjo, Tacho Solis, Allan Oviedo, Luis Monge, and Francisco Mena, all of whom have longstanding relationships with the roaster.
Phil & Sebastian, founded in 2007 by Phil Robertson and Sebastian Sztabzyb, is renowned for its rigorous coffee sourcing and strong ties with coffee producers. Their philosophy, “The standard for coffee is too low. We’re here to raise the bar,” has driven their global quest for the finest coffee. They have built a custom production roaster and continually push the boundaries of quality and innovation in coffee.
This event is a unique opportunity for coffee enthusiasts to experience exclusive coffees from some of the world’s leading producers, showcased by a roaster dedicated to excellence.
