Sightseer Coffee, a women-owned and queer-owned coffee shop, has launched its inaugural physical coffee bar in South Austin. The shop quietly debuted on May 21 and is now prepared to serve the Austin community daily.
Founded in 2022 by Sara Gibson and Kimberly Zash, Sightseer Coffee aims to deliver exceptional coffee to patrons while upholding strong ethical and feminist principles. Their new Austin location at 1905 S. First St., Austin, TX 78704, nestled next to Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop, promises not only a caffeine fix but also easy access to delightful confections.
“We deliberately kept our soft opening low-key, focusing on providing a relaxed atmosphere. It was important for us to start slowly and ensure our customers had a wonderful experience before announcing our grand opening,” remarked Gibson in an interview with MySA.
