AeroPress Departs from Coffee Tools Distributing in Australia

by Jessica

Coffee Tools Distributing, the Australian distributor renowned for its premium coffee tools and accessories, has recently disclosed its decision to cease representing AeroPress. This announcement follows a strategic shift initiated by AeroPress’ ownership.

Curtis Arnold, Director of Coffee Tools Distributing, expressed regret over the development: “It is with great sadness that we announce Coffee Tools Distributing is no longer representing AeroPress.” He highlighted the change in AeroPress’ strategic direction under new ownership as the primary reason for this decision.

“Since taking over, the current ownership has steered AeroPress in a new direction, prompting a corresponding shift in distribution needs,” Curtis elaborated.

Having introduced AeroPress to the Australian market 18 years ago, Arnold conveyed disappointment about parting ways with the product: “The AeroPress has been integral to our identity for nearly two decades, but now it’s time to move forward.” Despite this change, he expressed optimism about forthcoming ventures in the Australian coffee market, emphasizing the introduction of new and exciting products.

In 2021, Tiny Capital, a Canadian holding company, acquired AeroPress. Created by engineer Alan Adler and unveiled at Coffee Fest Seattle in November 2005, AeroPress has since garnered a dedicated following in the coffee-making community.
