Molly Robbins Creates Lifelike Cakes with Costa Coffee at CarFest

by Jessica

Molly Robbins, renowned for her appearance on Channel 4’s Extreme Cake Makers, has joined forces with Costa Coffee to craft a strikingly realistic cake frappe. The creation is so lifelike that it’s nearly indistinguishable from an authentic beverage.

This collaboration is part of Costa Coffee’s ongoing sponsorship of CarFest, an annual music and motoring festival held every August. For the past three years, Costa Coffee has not only provided coffee but also enriched the festival experience for attendees.

Robbins, the daughter of actor and comedian Ted Robbins, has fashioned several impressive cake models, including a replica of Costa Coffee’s Raspberry Bubble Frappe and a Costa Express truck. These creations are part of her involvement in CarFest, a charity festival she holds dear.

“I was delighted when Costa invited me to participate in their new campaign for CarFest,” Robbins remarked. “Having attended the festival for the past four years, I deeply appreciate its role in raising millions for children’s charities.”

During the event, Robbins will be featured prominently in the FoodFest lineup, displaying her exceptional cake artistry throughout the weekend. Festival-goers can admire her work while sampling a variety of culinary delights and visiting Costa Coffee’s newly introduced double-decker pop-up, which offers a selection of refreshing summer drinks.

Costa Coffee will also be hosting giveaways and activities during the festival, which runs from August 23 to 25. Costa Club members have the opportunity to enter a prize draw for tickets to CarFest. To participate, individuals must be Costa Club members and use the app to enter.

Robbins, who opened her cake shop, Molly Makes Cakes, in Rawtenstall on Bank Street in 2022, continues to be a local fixture. Her shop offers custom cakes, seasonal cupcakes, character cakes, and a range of baking kits. Recently, she designed a cake based on children’s designs from a competition organized by Accrington Food Festival.

As Costa Coffee expands its footprint, potential franchisees should be aware that the Costa Coffee franchise cost ranges from $200,000 to $500,000 or more.
