Coffee D’Ash, a popular name in the local coffee scene, is set to mark a significant milestone in its journey. Originally established as a mobile coffee service, the business is transitioning into a permanent retail space.
Owner Ashley Holroyd, with his wife and business partner Sarah, is excited to announce their move into a new location at Portland Walk. The grand opening will be celebrated with a VIP event on September 21, from 3 PM to 6 PM, serving as the inaugural day for the new coffee bar.
“This venture began as a mobile coffee pod, but as we evolved, opening a physical shop became the logical next step,” said Holroyd. “We are thrilled to launch the first-ever Coffee D’Ash coffee bar, a dream that wasn’t part of our initial plan. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the milestones we’ve achieved together.”
Since July of the previous year, Coffee D’Ash has been a fixture at Barrow’s Outdoor Market with its mobile van. The transition to a permanent location marks a new chapter for the brand.
Tickets for the exclusive opening event are priced at £25, with all proceeds earmarked for the unit’s renovation. To further support the new venture, the couple has launched a GoFundMe campaign aiming to raise £15,000 to ensure the bar’s success.
The opening will feature a performance by local singer Talia Rae, who will entertain guests with popular pop songs as they explore the new space.
