New Laundrette and Coffee Shop Opens in Inverness City Centre

Inverness has introduced a novel business concept with the recent opening of Molly’s Laundrette at 114 Academy Street. Combining the practicality of laundry facilities with the comfort of a coffee shop, Molly’s aims to cater to a diverse clientele including students, tourists, and local families.

Announced by Inverness Bid through social media, Molly’s Laundrette offers state-of-the-art, coin-operated washing machines and dryers in a self-service setting. Customers can relax with a beverage from the onsite cafe while their laundry completes its cycle. Prices range from £6 for a standard 10kg wash to £15 for a 15kg hot wash, with dryers available at £1-£1.50 per 10 minutes.

Open daily from 8am to 8pm, Molly’s also extends its services to local hotels and B&Bs. The new establishment arrives amid ongoing efforts by Highland Council to revitalize Academy Street, including plans to enhance pedestrian and cyclist accessibility by redesigning traffic flow.
