A 13-year-old girl, Hannah Jacobs, has tragically died after drinking a hot chocolate from Costa Coffee, believing it was made with soya milk. Despite her mother informing the barista of Hannah’s severe dairy allergy, the drink contained dairy.
After a reaction at the dental clinic where she was waiting, Hannah was rushed to a pharmacy and treated with an EpiPen, but she could not be saved. She was pronounced dead at 1pm. An inquest into her death is set to begin on Monday in East London.
