Starbucks has launched its first store in Ecuador, located in Quito’s Scala Mall. This opening marks the company’s 1,700th store in Latin America and the Caribbean and its 25th market in the region.
The new location is part of Starbucks’ partnership with Delonorte S.A., a subsidiary of Delosi, which manages numerous Starbucks outlets in Peru and Bolivia. Starbucks plans to open five stores in Ecuador this year, with additional locations set for 2025.
Cristel Delgado, Brand Manager for Starbucks Ecuador, emphasized the company’s commitment to the local coffee culture and community. The Quito store features a terrace overlooking the mall, modern design elements, and a mural by Ecuadorian artist Apitatán.
Starbucks Ecuador will also support local initiatives, including a river cleanup project in partnership with Junior Achievement Ecuador.
