Haleigh Mathis, owner of Ink Drinker’s Cafe, is raising funds for the family of Semaj Wilkins, a New Brockton football player who recently passed away due to a medical emergency.
Mathis is donating all tips from her cafe to support Wilkins’s family, having already collected over $100 in just two days. “We want the family to know they are not alone,” said Mathis, who is moved by the tragedy as a fellow mother.
The Cisco Bourbon and Cigar Club is also collecting donations, and a vigil will be held at New Brockton High School on Friday to further aid the family with funeral costs.
