As summer draws to a close, coffee lovers in New Jersey and beyond are eagerly anticipating the arrival of fall, marked not just by cooler temperatures and changing leaves, but by the release of seasonal menus at their favorite coffee chains, Dunkin’ and Starbucks. Both chains traditionally unveil their fall offerings in late August, and insiders suggest this year will be no different.
Dunkin’s Fall Menu: What to Expect
While Dunkin’ has yet to officially announce the release date for its fall menu, history provides some clues. Last year, the brand shared details of its seasonal drinks on August 16. According to food insider Markie Devo, a leaked image of the upcoming menu hints that this year’s fall offerings will be available starting August 28. Devo, a well-known influencer in the food community, shared the leaked details on his Instagram page.
The upcoming Dunkin’ menu reportedly features the beloved Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte and Almond Spice Coffee, both of which can be enjoyed hot or iced. Additionally, Dunkin’ is introducing a new beverage called the Dunkalatte, described by Devo as a Coffee Milk Iced Latte combining rich espresso with proprietary coffee milk.
However, fans of last year’s Nutty Pumpkin Coffee and the Pumpkin Swirl may be disappointed, as these items are not featured on the leaked menu. On the other hand, Dunkin’s pumpkin-themed baked goods, such as the Pumpkin Cake Donut, Pumpkin Munchkins, Pumpkin Muffin, and Apple Cider Donut, are making a return, along with the Banana Chocolate Chip Bread.
Another returning favorite is the Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich, alongside its wrap version and the Maple Sugar Snackin’ Bacon.
In an unexpected twist, Dunkin’ is continuing to experiment with alcoholic beverages this fall. Following last year’s introduction of spiked iced coffee and tea options, Dunkin’ has announced the release of a Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte, which is already available in stores across 27 states, including New Jersey. This announcement was made via a press release on August 7. The new spiked drink joins Dunkin’s existing line of alcoholic beverages, including the Spiked Iced Coffee in flavors like original, iced, mocha, and vanilla, as well as Spiked Iced Tea in slightly sweet, half & half, strawberry dragonfruit, and mango pineapple flavors.
Starbucks Fall Menu: Returning Favorites and New Surprises
Starbucks is also expected to launch its fall menu around the same time as Dunkin’. Although the company has not released an official date, last year’s menu rolled out on August 23. Insider information points to an August 22 release this year, with both a Starbucks employee from Virginia and influencer Markie Devo corroborating this date.
The leaked Starbucks menu includes the iconic Pumpkin Spice Latte, available in hot, iced, and frappe versions. Additional pumpkin-infused options include the Pumpkin Cold Brew and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai.
For those who prefer apple flavors, Starbucks is bringing back the Iced Apple Crisp Shaken Espresso Oatmilk and Apple Crisp Macchiato Oatmilk. A new addition to the menu, the Iced Apple Crisp Cream Chai, offers a nondairy option for those looking for a refreshing fall drink.
On the food front, Starbucks will feature seasonal items such as the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin and Baked Apple Croissant. A new treat, the Racoon Vanilla Cakepop, will join the lineup of fall-themed goodies.
As fall approaches, fans of both Dunkin’ and Starbucks have much to look forward to with the return of classic favorites and the introduction of new treats. Whether you’re a pumpkin spice enthusiast or a fan of apple-flavored delights, the upcoming menus from these coffee giants promise something for everyone.
