Dunkin’ Donuts has officially confirmed the release date for its much-anticipated fall menu, promising an autumnal selection to delight coffee enthusiasts. The launch date has been set for Wednesday, August 28, as the coffee chain embraces the new season.
In a subtle yet deliberate manner, Dunkin’ Donuts revealed the date through an email to USA TODAY, following the recent debut of fall offerings by competitor Starbucks. The Instagram post from the brand playfully hinted at the date, stating, “See how we’re bringing back pumpkin? Very mindful, very patient, very demure.”
The social media tease continued with a cryptic caption: “Apparently I’m not allowed to say when pumpkin comes out but it rhymes with shmaugust shwenty shmeighth.”
On Friday, the company took to X (formerly known as Twitter) with a straightforward announcement: “Warn your boyfriends now – pumpkin is back next week.”
While the early August timing for pumpkin spice offerings may seem premature to some, it is actually a step later compared to previous years. Last year, Dunkin’ Donuts launched its fall menu on August 16, and in 2022, it was available from August 10. This delayed rollout contrasts with the earlier fall menu introductions from competitors like Starbucks.
As of Monday morning, Dunkin’ had yet to disclose the specific items for the fall menu. Last year’s offerings included the Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, Nutty Pumpkin Coffee, and a variety of pumpkin-themed baked goods such as the Pumpkin Cake Donut and Pumpkin Muffin.
Food influencer Markie Devo has suggested that the complete fall 2024 menu may have been revealed, including a photo and predicted launch date in an August 2 Instagram post.
For those eagerly awaiting the seasonal treats, Dunkin’ Donuts’ fall menu will officially be available starting August 28.
