Groundwork has commenced for Loudoun County’s second Human Bean drive-thru coffee shop, marking a significant development in the region’s growing coffee scene. The forthcoming location, situated in the South Riding/Stone Ridge area off Highway 50, is poised to enhance local coffee options.
Last November, plans for this new outlet were first reported by The Burn. The new Human Bean will be located adjacent to the recently established Arby’s at the junction of Highway 50 and Gateway Village Place. Preliminary site preparations are underway, with earth-moving equipment already on-site and necessary permits displayed. This initial phase includes land grading and the installation of essential underground infrastructure, setting the stage for the building’s construction.
The area’s first Human Bean drive-thru, which opened in Sterling in November 2022, set a precedent for the brand’s expansion. Construction of this new location is expected to follow a similar model, where a prefabricated coffee shop unit will be transported by flatbed truck and installed using a crane.
As site work progresses, no specific opening date has been announced for the new Human Bean location.
