Port Charlotte, FL — A new Ellianos Coffee Co. drive-thru is set to make its debut on September 4th at 19175 Peachland Blvd. This will mark the 55th franchise for the coffee chain, known for offering Italian-quality coffee at American speed.
The new location is being launched by two couples: John and Erinn Rasmussen, along with Matthew and Susana Aubert. Unlike most franchise owners who lease their premises, the Rasmussens and Auberts own their Ellianos sites in Port Charlotte as well as additional properties in Englewood, North Port, and Punta Gorda. They are also in the process of leasing space for a new Ellianos in front of the Walmart in Arcadia.
The journey to opening this franchise began when Erinn Rasmussen’s brother, a truck driver, introduced her to the Ellianos brand. Impressed by the quality of the coffee, which she found comparable to European standards, the Rasmussens and Auberts decided to invest in the franchise.
Prior to this venture, the two couples were based in Abu Dhabi, where the husbands were employed at a power plant construction project. The Rasmussens and Auberts, who had met while walking their dogs in an Abu Dhabi park, found common ground in their goal to secure financial stability for early retirement. Upon returning to the U.S., they ventured into real estate before discovering the opportunity with Ellianos Coffee.
Ellianos Coffee offers an extensive menu including coffee, teas, iced beverages, smoothies, breakfast bowls, sandwiches, chicken salad croissants, bagels, and desserts, with options for dairy-free and sugar-free alternatives.
Founded in Lake City by Scott and Pam Stewart, Ellianos Coffee was inspired by the thriving drive-thru coffee culture observed in the Pacific Northwest. Established in 2002, the chain is rapidly expanding, with 120 new stores currently in various stages of development. New locations are also in the planning stages for Fort Myers and Lehigh Acres.
Ellianos Coffee locations can be found in Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. The Port Charlotte store will be open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
