Coastal Caregivers Host Groves Chamber Coffee Event

GROVES — Coastal Caregivers hosted the Groves Chamber of Commerce & Tourist Center’s monthly coffee gathering at The Courtyard Café this week, featuring updates on local events, food, and fellowship. Among the key announcements was the upcoming Pecan Festival Pageant scheduled for Saturday, with the parade set to take place on September 21.

Chamber officials also shared details about three upcoming ribbon cuttings next week. Davis’ Donuts on FM 365, under new ownership, will have a ribbon-cutting event, followed by Delicias Yolis & Grill on Stadium Drive in Port Arthur and Strands Hair Spa & Boutique on Nall Street in Port Neches, which will host an open house.

Additionally, the Chamber has launched a “Cash Mob” initiative for September, encouraging the public to support local businesses every Monday. Participating hosts include Belen Bakery (2630 Main St., Groves) on Monday, Sundara Coffee House (4000 Lincoln, Groves) on September 23, and ICY Donuts (3855 Main St., Groves) each offering specials from 7 to 11 a.m.

During the event, Williams Florist & Gifts was named Business of the Month, with owner Alli Meaux and her daughter, Adia, present to receive the honor. The Courtyard Café owner Karen Theis served a French toast and sausage breakfast for attendees.

The next Chamber coffee will be hosted by National Networks on October 10 at Maison d’Amis on Lincoln Ave.
