A second Compass Coffee location in Ballston is set to open this Saturday, offering exciting perks for early customers. Located at 4300 Wilson Blvd, the new cafe—referred to as “Ballston West”—will celebrate its grand opening by gifting the first 100 visitors with $25 gift cards. Doors open at 6:30 a.m.
A press release highlights the new location’s “spacious and bright interior,” featuring expansive windows and a large wraparound bar. Positioned in a prime spot on Wilson Blvd, the cafe promises to be a convenient stop for Ballston residents and professionals alike.
Ahead of the public opening, select customers and community members will get a sneak peek at the space during a “Friends and Family Day” event on Friday.
The new cafe replaces the former Slipstream coffee shop and is just a short walk from the first Compass Coffee in Ballston at 4100 Wilson Blvd. It also joins a competitive coffee scene in the area, including Good Company Doughnuts & Cafe, Ballstonian, several Starbucks locations, and Gute Leute, which recently made headlines after its front window was damaged by gunfire.
Despite the addition of this second location, the original Compass Coffee on Wilson Blvd will remain open, according to management.
Compass Coffee, a D.C.-based chain, now boasts 19 locations across the region, including others in Arlington’s Rosslyn and on Langston Blvd. The new Ballston West cafe will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on weekends.
