Nguyen Coffee Supply, a prominent U.S. coffee roaster and ready-to-drink coffee brand, has secured a distribution agreement to provide packaged coffee to over 400 Albertsons grocery stores nationwide.
The Idaho-based Albertsons will feature three whole bean offerings from Nguyen Coffee Supply: Truegrit, a 100% Vietnamese robusta; Moxy, a 100% Vietnamese arabica; and Loyalty, a blend of both.
Sahra Nguyen, Founder and CEO of Nguyen Coffee Supply, emphasized the unique qualities of Vietnamese coffee, stating, “Vietnamese coffee beans are truly different in flavour and energy. As a first-generation Vietnamese American, it’s been my mission to share the flavours of my parents’ home country while elevating Vietnamese coffee farmers. With partners like Albertsons, we’re thrilled to introduce Vietnamese coffee to more people across America.”
Nguyen Coffee Supply employs a direct-trade model, sourcing its beans directly from farmers in Vietnam, where the coffee is processed before being transported to the company’s Brooklyn roastery.
Founded in 2018 in New York, Nguyen Coffee Supply products are now available at more than 2,500 retail locations across the United States, including Target, Sprouts Farmers Market, Whole Foods Market, Kroger, and on the delivery platform Gopuff. The brand also ships internationally to countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, and the UK.
Albertsons, established in Boise, Idaho in 1939, operates over 400 grocery stores across 15 states. The company is part of Albertsons Companies, the fourth-largest grocery store group in the U.S. by revenue and the fifth-largest by footprint, which also includes the Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Acme, Tom Thumb, and United Supermarkets chains.
