In a delightful blend of music and coffee, Starbucks is set to commemorate National Coffee Day on September 29 by partnering with dynamic duo Sofi Tukker for a live DJ streaming event on Twitch. Scheduled from 10 AM to 12 PM PT / 1 PM to 3 PM ET, the free livestream titled “At Home With Sofi Tukker” aims to foster community through music and coffee pairings, echoing the duo’s initiative during the pandemic.
Starbucks becomes the first brand to collaborate with Twitch’s new DJ platform, featuring a set inspired by the company’s coffee roasts. The performance will start with the smooth Starbucks® Blonde Roast, transition to the rich Starbucks® Medium Roast, and culminate with the bold Starbucks® Dark Roast, enhancing the at-home tasting experience.
GRAMMY-nominated and known for their infectious energy, Sofi Tukker focuses on connection in both their music and performances. Their new album, BREAD (“Be Really Energetic and Dance”), embodies the theme of shared experiences. “The music we make and everything we do is in service of positive energy and connection, just like Starbucks coffee,” stated Sophie Hawley-Weld. Her bandmate, Tucker Halpern, added, “Making a cup of Starbucks coffee is always something I can rely on and gives us some time to slow down and connect.”
Leading up to the event, Starbucks is offering a special deal on Amazon through September 29. Coffee enthusiasts can purchase $50 worth of select coffee blends and at-home favorites to receive a $10 discount, allowing them to stock up for the live streaming session and beyond. This partnership not only highlights the joy of coffee but also the powerful role of music in creating community.
