Bageri Form, a boutique bakery and coffee shop in Dubai Design District, has teamed up with Grandmother Coffee Roastery, a specialty coffee roastery known for its barista training and consultancy services. The collaboration will present a unique Coffee Omakase experience, showcasing the artistry of both coffee and pastry through an immersive culinary journey.
A Two-Part Sensory Journey
The limited-edition event, set for October 19 at Bageri Form from 10 to 11:30 a.m., promises to captivate coffee enthusiasts and newcomers alike with a two-part experience. Attendees will begin with an expertly-led cupping session, where they will sample five distinct beans from various origins, highlighting rare coffee processing techniques. This session will introduce participants to lesser-known methods, such as the hybrid washing technique, with beans sourced from Colombia, including the Sudan Rume variety, as well as Kenya, Rwanda, El Salvador, and Ethiopia.
Five-Course Coffee and Pastry Pairing
Following the cupping, guests will be treated to a five-course coffee and pastry pairing, each featuring the Sudan Rume bean prepared in a different style. These preparations will range from cold brew and cold milk brew to pour-over filter coffee, latte or flat white, and espresso. Bageri Form’s head pastry chef, Samira Dabbagh, has carefully curated pastries to accompany each coffee, enhancing and complementing the unique flavor profile of the Sudan Rume bean.
This exclusive Coffee Omakase event offers a rare opportunity for coffee lovers to deepen their appreciation and understanding of specialty coffee in a refined and enjoyable setting.
