WILLIAMSBURG — Blooms That Brighten, a local organization dedicated to connecting volunteers with residents of senior care communities to create handcrafted flower arrangements, has received a generous donation of $1,300. This contribution comes from the recent concert held as part of the Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House concert series.
Since its inception in 2022, the Coffee House series has committed to supporting Williamsburg-area charities by donating a portion of ticket sales, alongside 100% of all drink donations.
“It is an honor to be able to help an organization such as Blooms That Brighten, which does so much to improve the lives of senior citizens in our community,” remarked Greg Davy, a member of the Three Jolly Coachmen, who perform in tribute to the Kingston Trio.
To date, the Coffee House series has raised a remarkable $15,700 for various charities in the Williamsburg area. Beneficiaries include the Williamsburg House of Mercy, the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg, FISH, Meals On Wheels, Colonial CASA, Faith In Action, the Heritage Humane Society, and the local chapter of the USO.
The next installment of the Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House concert will take place on Friday, Nov. 8, featuring the Maryland-based Celtic and Nordic group, Wherligig.
