Caffewerks, a seller of coffee machine parts and accessories, has introduced a new line of espresso machine components called BaristaFLO. This line aims to provide robust and affordable replacement options for parts that typically require frequent maintenance.
The BaristaFLO collection features 15 products, including silicone group gaskets, shower heads, filter baskets, and puck screens, all available in various sizes to fit different espresso machines.
“The BaristaFLO product line was developed based on years of experience using these products in our own machines and those of clients worldwide,” said the owners of the Olympia, Washington-based company in an email to Daily Coffee News (DCN). “Our goal is to offer OEM-quality espresso machine wear parts at a more accessible price, encouraging users to follow a maintenance routine that involves replacing these parts two to four times a year for consistent quality espresso.” To facilitate this, Caffewerks is promoting its auto-replenishment subscription service for replacement parts, which has been available since 2018.
All Caffewerks components meet OEM standards, with some used as original parts by notable coffee brands.
“We’re proud to work with a global team of designers and manufacturers to bring these innovations to life,” the company stated. “We enjoy collaborating with our network of independent coffee technicians—experts who work with espresso machines daily—and lean on their insights to identify gaps in the market and develop the products they need.”
Founded by engineer and entrepreneur Terry Ziniewicz, Caffewerks has roots in the Pacific Northwest coffee scene.
Ziniewicz initially launched a chain of coffee stands in the 1990s under the names Piccolos Espresso and Crazee Espresso, which eventually led to the creation of a coffee parts business that became known as Espresso Parts. He also co-founded Olympia Coffee Roasters and played a role in launching equipment maker Mavam. Ziniewicz’s daughter, Sara Michelman, and son, Sean Ziniewicz, are now partners and co-owners of Caffewerks.
In addition to espresso machine parts, Caffewerks offers a range of water pump products for both permanent and mobile coffee bar applications, along with gaskets, screens, rinsers, and cleaners. Recently, the company launched a new line of durable flat pack espresso cart kits.
“These products are being refined with each production run based on current use models in the field,” the owners noted.
“The specialty coffee industry has grown and continues to adapt to new brewing methods, equipment, and workflow.
Caffewerks intends to be there to support the industry every step of the way.”
